What to Wear to a Palm Springs Pool Party

Slim Aarons pool party in Palm Springs? It all but took me two seconds to respond yes to Kelly Golightly and Fred Baby’s pool party invite at their Palm Springs home. Kelly knows how to throw a mean party and just like me, she loves a good theme with some fun wardrobe. It was a lot of fun to dress for a Palm Springs pool party since we visit Palm Springs so often. This bikini served as my base layer to which I added additional pieces to bring together the whole look. I wore this maxi dress from Anthropologie (sans slip) as a cover up and tied my vintage scarf around my head as a turban. I finished off this look with chunky wooden heels and vintage jewelry. Slim Aarons said he made a career out of photographing people of doing attractive things in attractive places – he would have loved this party.
