Sustainable Fashion Forward Brands

In recent years, the fashion industry has been making strides towards sustainability, as consumers become increasingly aware of the environmental and social impact of fast fashion – I think we can all collectively say it’s about time! Thankfully for us stylish folk, fashion forward brands are now embracing sustainable and ethical practices, using eco-friendly materials, reducing waste, and supporting fair labor practices in their supply chain! This means the days of wearing hemp colored, shapeless clothes are over and we can shop truly unique, trend focused, fun brands that deliver on fashion. I’ve included just some of my favorite fashion forward sustainable brands that are paving the way towards a more conscious and responsible fashion industry. From bohemian-inspired dresses to eco-friendly loungewear, these brands offer stylish and sustainable options.

I consider many of these brands to be attainable as their price point is considered mid-range. If any of these brands are out of your budget, please consider shopping for them on the second hand market at Crossroads Trading, Poshmark or eBay.

Pact offers a range of organic cotton basics for both men and women, including t-shirts, leggings, and underwear. Their clothing is ethically made and reasonably priced. I love their loungewear and underwear.

Reformation is a sustainable fashion brand that offers trendy and affordable clothing for women. They use eco-friendly fabrics and sustainable production practices, and offer a range of styles for different occasions. I’ve been shopping Ref since their first store opened in LA and still have the pieces. They are items I see for on the regular!

Christy Dawn is a sustainable brand that creates bohemian-inspired dresses and clothing for women using deadstock or vintage fabrics. The brand supports local artisans and garment workers, and uses eco-friendly practices such as natural dyeing and low-water consumption in production.

Mate the Label is a sustainable clothing brand that specializes in eco-friendly and ethical loungewear and basics for women. The brand uses organic and recycled materials to create comfortable and versatile pieces such as T-shirts, sweatpants, and loungewear sets. They’re my face sweats ever!

Bel Kazan is a women’s clothing brand that offers unique and sustainable designs inspired by global cultures and handcrafted in Bali. Belinda’s collections feature bold prints and colors, and are made using eco-friendly fabrics such as organic cotton and Tencel.

Amour Vert is a sustainable fashion brand that offers a range of stylish and eco-friendly clothing for women, including dresses, tops, and pants. They use sustainable materials like Tencel and organic cotton.

Sezane is a French fashion brand founded in 2013 that offers chic and timeless clothing, accessories, and footwear for women. Known for their effortless Parisian style, Sézane emphasizes sustainable and ethical practices by using responsible materials, reducing waste, and supporting social causes through their philanthropic initiatives. You can see my faves from the brand here.

The next couple of brands are expensive but they’re high quality, luxury fashion brands that you can find on resale sites like eBay and Poshmark or at Crossroads!

Stella McCartney is a luxury sustainable fashion brand that offers a range of stylish and eco-friendly clothing, shoes, and accessories. The brand is committed to using sustainable materials and ethical production practices. I love the brands handbags and activewear line.

Mara Hoffman is a sustainable fashion brand that offers bold and colorful clothing for women. She uses eco-friendly materials and prioritizes ethical production practices. I can’t tell you how much I love her dresses and swimsuits! Truly my faves!
