Vintage Trending: Milo Baughman

I’m excited to introduce a new series sharing vintage pieces that are trending right now from fashion to interiors and beyond.  My goal is to show you how to shop for vintage pieces and integrate them into your home and wardrobe to achieve a unique look and style.  For the first post, I’m focusing on Milo Baughman, a pioneer in modern design and one of the leading modern furniture designers of the second half of the 20th century.  He is trending so hard right now you could say he’s on fleek! You can find a Baughman vintage at your local flea market all the way to 1st Dibs.

Baughman’s American designs were forward-thinking and distinctive, yet unpretentious and affordable and are still relevant and copied to this day.  His pieces are modernist and feature wood and metal finishes for a striking and sleek finish.  Baughman’s t-back chair is one of my favorite designs of all time and has been on my wish list for years.  In addition to the t-back chair, he has amazing burled wood tables, brutalist sofas, and brass chairs.

To get your hands on a Milo Baughman, definitely scope out your local flea market. If that fails, then shop my picks below.  Although you’ll be paying more than the flea, you’ll be investing in a unique piece that is of the highest quality.

Milo Baughman licensed designs are still being made today by Thayer Coggin. Items are made to Milo’s original design specifications and custom made to order by our master craftspeople in our workshops in North Carolina.
