I picked up this vintage dress a few months ago as a maxi dress. I love the pretty sleeves, embroidered detailing, and lightweight yellow fabric. Although I wore it as a maxi a few times, I knew I would get much more wear out of it as a mini dress. I had it tailored in a 60s appropriate length and have worn it so much more as a mini. I’m all for making my summer pieces work for fall and summer, but sometimes I need some essentials. Here’s what I’m stocking up on.
Leather Jackets – A leather jacket is probably one of the most versatile pieces that you can have in your closet. It helps add a modern edge to any outfit, but pairs well over sweaters for colder days.
Day to Night Dresses – I love dresses that can do double duty. Dresses that work from day to night are winners, plus I love dresses that can be paired with colored or patterned tights for a twist.
Booties – I want to buy navy or red booties this season.
Bucket Bags – Not only to they hold a lot of stuff, they are still on trend this fall and will help pull together your outfit.
Flare Jeans – Buy up any flare jeans you can find! Wear with a lace blouse for date night or tee and sneakers for the farmers’ market, flare jeans are my all time favorite style.
