Lace Pencil Skirt

burnout lace pencil skirt + cardigan

It really doesn’t get any better than this outfit for work.  It has the comfort level of sweat pants and house slippers, without the sweats and slippers! As you’ve noticed, my usual go-to outfits for work are either sleek pencil skirts or high-waist trousers paired with a bold blazer (remember my 20 outfits with the yellow blazer?). I do like to change things up a bit and try to find pieces that I can wear at the office and beyond.  This pencil skirt from Anthropologie has the sleekness of a pencil skirt but it is as comfy as my favorite t-shirt, which means total usage at the office, dinner, weekend outings, lunch dates and the list goes on.  I kept my look simple with neutral tones and my favorite cardigan which has the right amount of sparkle to take it from frumpy to fab.

PS – Have you noticed how long my hair is getting! Wowza! I am considering chopping off a few inches however…what do you think?

I love that particular Marc Jacobs bag. It's such a staple! And that pencil skirt is so pretty! You do have a a very "office-appropriate" look about you, but you play with fun shapes and colors and always style it all in a way that isn't stuffy. And your hair is getting long! I kind of like it that length, but there is always something about a long bob a la Olivia Palermo. 🙂 <3toni
