Guest Bathroom: Martinique Wallpaper
It’s been a while since I’ve shared some details about the house. Oh that little thing called work that seems to get in the way of all the fun! Because our time has been limited, Alan and I have paused the kitchen renovation and have focused our energies on our guest bathroom. It’s in serious need of TLC, with mismatched toilet and sink, poorly laid tile, a door leading to our patio, the list goes on! Like the rest of the house, we’d like to keep as much of the original details but add in modern touches. I’d like to source a vintage pink toilet to match the original sink, update the flooring, replace the door with a window, and update the fixture. The wow factor, however, will be the backdrop.
Alan and I have decided on the Martinique Wallpaper a la the Beverly Hills Hotel! Not only does this wallpaper grace the walls of one of my favorite spots in Los Angeles, it was also the greatest part of Blanche’s bedroom on Golden Girls! The kelly green and soft pink pairing is iconic and I think the perfect statement for a small space. We’re starting the bathroom renovation in the next month and I can hardly wait.
