holiday mocktails

This week started off without the standard case of the Mondays. Cheers to that, right? I attended an event with HauteLook at a beautiful home in the Hollywood Hills.  Adrianna of A Cozy Kitchen hosted a cooking demo and whipped up the most delicious vegetable mini pot pies. Next up, we made the most gorgeous hostess gift boxes with Lauren of A Fabulous Fete.  I was in charge of shaking up a holiday mocktail!  We all love a good cocktail, but it’s always nice to make a batch of a mocktail.  It’s a crowd pleaser and can easily be modified for an adult bevvie.

Citrus Cider Mocktail

Serves 2

1 cup apple cider

1/2 cup blood orange juice

1 tablespoon pomegranate juice

2 cinnamon sticks

Combine all ingredients except cinnamon sticks in a shaker with ice. Pour into an old fashioned glass, and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

To transform it into an adult beverage, add 2 oz of your favorite bourbon to the shaker along with other ingredients.
