Say hello to Kelly Golightly, the glamorous lady behind the ultra chic style guide for modern-day Audrey Hepburns of the world. Kelly and I have a mutual fondness for thrifting and while she collects vintage ice buckets, I collect vintage glassware – our poor husbands!
While in Palm Springs, Kelly and I stopped by one of her favorite vintage stores, Dazzles, to shop for ice buckets and glassware. As the store name indicates, Dazzles has the most dazzling collection of glassware, brooches, jewelry, and outdoor furniture.
I think Kelly needs to add this beautiful ice bucket to her collection. Imagine the fabulous parties she could host just to use this beauty!
What is your favorite item to thrift?
I love hunting for vintage ice buckets and can never pass up a good find to add to my collection, much to my husband Fred Baby’s chagrin. I love white and gold ice buckets, colorful patterned ice buckets, ice buckets with geese…it’s a problem.”
What is your best vintage find?
My best vintage find ever was a glamorous brass bar cart in Palm Springs for next to nothing. I still can’t believe it hadn’t been scooped up! It had a missing piece of glass at the bottom, but I just threw a faux sheepskin in its place, which it turns out, adds a more playful and textural touch.
What does the thrill of the thrift mean to you?
The thrill of the thrift is the rush you get from treasure-hunting and then unearthing that one amazing gem. I love digging through warehouses and racks of clothing and spotting the often overlooked piece, the bar cart with the missing glass that no one wants to deal with, the peacock chair with a missing cushion, and then taking it home and making it my own. Those pieces are the ones that make a house feel like a well-traveled home.
Gorgeous photos!

I love Dazzles! I bought some unusual red enamel earrings there last week.
