Springtime Goodness with Clarks

This time of year calls for many things…punchy florals, spring cleaning, picnics, and, of course, new shoes! Alan, Harlee, and I decided to a little bit of the above, minus cleaning, over the weekend. We headed to Paramount Ranch for some casual exploring, blowing bubbles and a leisurely picnic. It’s one of those places you have to visit in the springtime and you can easily spend an entire day exploring the beautiful trails and meeting some new friends: people and animals. Harlee made friends with a couple of horses while we soaked in the butterflies fluttering around us in the flower fields. It really doesn’t get any better than this, right?

It does and it did because despite all the walking and running around, we all came home with happy feet! I wore my Clarks Teadale Rhea oxfords and Alan wore his Clarks Desert Crosby lace-ups.

While I normally wear my sneakers for running around town in jeans and tee, I love pairing sneakers with a vintage inspired maxi dress, especially when there’s some running around after Harlee involved. The blush-tone suede on the Rhea oxfords makes them the perfect spring shoe, plus the platform helps me in the height department. I think I’ll be styling these shoes with mini boho-style dresses through summer!

Alan has been wearing the Crosbys to work ever since he opened the box. His go-to work look is a navy linen suit with floral chambray shirt and no show socks – a fashion forward corporate look that even I’m jealous I couldn’t style during my corporate days! For our family outing, he opted for his go-to weekend uniform of jeans and a tee.
