Maiko Antiques in Kyoto is one of the best vintage stores I have ever been to and I came out with everything on my Japan vintage wish list!

The shop has limited hours so you have to make an appointment at least 3 days in advance! Go to: https://maiko-antiques-kyoto.mystrikingly.com/ for more information. Trust me that it’s worth making the trip just for this store and exploring the historic heart of Kyoto. I spent hours in this tiny shop and came home with some of my favorite vintage finds ever!

What I wore (and rewore) in Japan! It’s very hot and humid in Japan so I went with airy pieces to keep cool and I had fun with color and prints.

Comfiest shoes were my Melissa jellies - 20k steps and zero blisters! We stayed in an Airbnb so I washed everything for a second wear to keep packing minimal.

Shimokitazawa: Tokyo’s Vintage Gem! Located on the western part of central Tokyo, it is the vintage shopping hotspot! The shops are filled with some of my favorites – vintage Levi’s, Ralph Lauren, college sweatshirts, and prairie dresses! Plus, I snagged unique reworked vintage Dickies just for me so be sure to keep an eye out for one of a kind reworks and upcycled pieces. Unbelievable deals thanks to the exchange rate!

▫️I plan out outfits using the same key pieces but here’s where I do it differently. I DON’T stick to neutrals. I have fun with prints and mix and match.
▫️Fanny packs are GOAT so I can go hands free
▫️This is the toughie, I limit myself to one fab belt 😭
▫️I roll all my clothes in a packing cube! This is a space saver!
▫️I hoard beauty and skincare samples and take them on trips to save space
