Since I was girl, Phyllis Nefler was sort of a life icon – she is the original Beverly Hills housewife, afterall. She has the sass and the wardrobe, but without the drama. Any woman that can turn an ill-fitting scout uniform into a chic cape and pencil skirt ensemble is a heroine in my book. I think this is what I would have worn to my prom if it had only spotted it a decade or so earlier. Now I get to wear it to casual dinners out with Alan. If a lady can’t wear her 80s prom dress to a nice dinner, then we have some major issues to hash out. In my opinion this dress covers the very best of 80s fashion: pink taffeta peplum frill adorned with a bow – I can actually hear my older sister baging her head against her desk. As much as I love 80s, my sister steers clear of it unless it’s to point out how horrible it is. Despite our differences, we would both agree that this dress is Phyllis Nefler approved!
