People’s Choice Awards

When Jamie asked if I wanted to go to the People’s Choice Awards with P&G Beauty, of course I said yes! The first thing on my mind was what to wear. I found the perfect vintage cocktail dress: pink and flowy with an embellished bust. Imagine that paired with Betty Draper’s updo a la the Rome episode.  Sounds divine right? Well, due to the polar vortex, my dress was stuck somewhere between Milwaukee and Minneapolis where they did not understand the importance of getting a vintage cocktail dress to me on time. #firstworldproblems.  Fortunately, I found this Jill Stuart dress which is great for a cocktail event. I can’t pull off sexy comfortably nor do I love super on-trend pieces (hence my vintage obsession), so I stick to classic silhouettes which are chic and comfortable.  It’s who I am and I like it.

I had so much fun hanging out with Kelly, Roxy, Jamie, and Sydne  at my first awards show.  I had heard rumors of a Justin and Brittney reunion performance, but alas they just brought their sexy and accepted their awards. I got to see my doppleganger Sandra and learned a bit country (Brad Paisley).
