When most people think of vintage bathrooms, visions of mint or pink come to mind and they want to shriek in horror. I always thought they were charming in vintage apartments, but never actually thought about wanting to maintain that vintage splendor in my own home. Our home has a pink bathroom and a mint bathroom, which we’ve decided that we’re going to update but maintain the original color and aesthetic. You can see some pictures of our home when we first bought it at this post. Alan and I are fully committed to team pink and team green bathrooms, so much that I hunted down the matching pink toilet to our sink and tile! Craigslist to the rescue! I’ve been seeing a lot of gorgeous bathrooms popping up on my home decor feed lately that feature the original plumbing fixtures! Yup, retro charm meets modern chic. These are some of my favorite mint green bathrooms that are also inspiring me as we hopefully get started on our bathroom renovation next year. What I love about these bathrooms is the vintage charm goes beyond the tilework and actually incorporates the original fixtures including toilet, sink, and bathtub.
What do you think? Do you like the retro charm or are you all about modern simplicity?
