How to Wear a Maxi Dress for Winter

maxi dress for winter - I Heart Vintage Couture

This dress is fabulous – it has been my go to dress for both formal affairs (last seen here for a wedding) as well as casual weekends.  The temps dropped to a chilly 60 degrees (sigh) so I had to bundle up with a scarf and jacket while shopping for Christmas gifts.  I love that I can take a summer maxi dress and re-work it for cooler weather – only in LA right? So tell me, how do you re-work favorite items in your closet for year round enjoyment?

Dress: Theory (similar here for $90, here for $40, here for $25| Jacket: Leifsdottir | Belt: H&M | Scarf: Portolano | Wedges: Theyskens Theory | Sunglasses: RayBan | Bag: Chanel

You look so regal in purple! That dress is gorgeous! And I think it looks amazing with the jacket. Layering seems to be the key for transitioning summer items. Well, at least that's what I try to do. :)toni
