If I’ve learned anything from years of holiday shopping, it’s that I should always set aside a little bit of money to treat myself! Not only are there sales to take advantage of, but gifting yourself is a form of self-care. Can we all agree on this?!
When it comes to treating myself for luxe gifts, I turn to my all time favorite shopping destination, eBay, for all the things! This holiday, I want to treat myself to another Chanel handbag. The one I currently have is the vintage camera bag with tassel detail. I love the tassel detail to so much (it’s a signature detail of vintage styles). This time, I’m looking for some more modern styles. Yup, it’s much like putting a child in a candy store and telling her to just pick one!
Without a doubt, eBay is where I shop because they offer a dedicated page to authenticated designer handbags so I can shop without any worry. I use the “save the search” function on eBay so I’m notified anytime there is a new listing matching my search terms. I get an email and an in app notification; it’s like having a personal shopper, but way more fun. From there, I always look for the Buy it Now option (81% of listings have this option) so I can buy asap without bidding!
Some other items I’d like to splurge on? Luxe baubles! I wouldn’t be A Vintage Splendor if I didn’t have a luxe list of accessories. I’m currently searching for vintage David Yurman rings which have a great 80s look to them. I think they’ll look so great stacked up with dainty antique rings for an everyday casual look. I’m also looking for large Chanel chandelier earrings which are statements in itself. The earrings are great for days when you just want to wear a white tee, jeans, and simple makeup but just need a little touch of glam. The earrings will definitely also work for a 100% glam look.
