How do you layer?

Gorjana’s #LawsofLayering is a lesson in both subtlety and balance in wearing jewelry. The beachy-chic meets minimalist glam jewelry line has been a long time favorite of mine, both in building my jewelry collection and for gifts for friends.  Although a chunky necklace makes a statement, I think layering up delicate pieces makes an even bigger statement showcasing a sophisticated and polished look.  As part of its campaign, Gorjana has come up with its 5 laws of layering: Choose a Hero, Dare to Mix, Multitask, Stack up or Stack out, and Pick a Theme.  Since Gorjana’s pieces have always been my go-to for layering for an effortless look, they asked me to come up with my own rules.  I stick to three laws that always rule!

Law 1: Golden Girl // As much as I love mixing silver with yellow and rose gold, there’s something about an all gold look that is simple and eye catching.  I think going for the gold is perfect year-round and shimmers whether you’re out at the beach or dinner.

Law 2: Have Fun // You can make a statement with stacking up rings on one finger or bracelets on one wrist, or stacking it out across both wrists and fingers.  As you can see, I love stacking up and stacking out! Enjoy the process of picking out your jewelry and layering it up.

Law 3: Mix it Up // Are you boho or modern, eclectic or minimalist?  Don’t be afraid to mix up your jewelry to reflect every aspect of your personality, mood, and outfit.  I love mixing angular cuffs with dainty charm bracelets that give that laid-back meets city-chic look.
