Crop tops have been on my mind lately. I never had the chance to rock them back in the 80s or early 90s, but here in 2013 conservative me was to scared to wear the crop. Much like my rule when it comes to skirt (remember this post here?), I worried that a crop top on me would look more trashy than sophisticated on me. I finally took the plunge and bought a crop top. For a date night out, I searched my closet for a super high waist bottom to balance out the crop. I tried a few options, but loved the crisp ladylike look of the pencil skirt with the striped top. A tweed jacket was the right cover-up, while I kept the rest of my look neutral. I definitely think more mature or conservative ladies can definitely rock the crop trend while keeping the rest of the pieces polished. Tell me, how do you feel about rocking the crop top trend?
