Finely Crafted Modern Goods

finely crafted

I may sound like a broken, yet hip record, but my favorite thing about blogging is the community.  It’s insane how many friends I have made via the interwebs and social media! I recently met Jeanée Ledoux through  email – she found me through Kelly’s blog and voilà, we realized we have so many vintage things in common.  Jeanée is a modernism enthusiast and cheerleader for the crafts movement. She began Finely Crafted as a blog, then all that love of design blossomed into a brick-and-mortar boutique just five months later.  For those of you in the Atlanta area, you can visit in person, inside midtown Atlanta’s Paris on Ponce design market. Jeanée rounds up home decor, personal accessories, and gifts that salute modernism and midcentury kitsch in her store. She favors individuals and small companies who pour their hearts into their creations, and who make the kinds of “atomic” products that she’d like to have in her own Lustron ranch (a woman after my heart!).  Jump on over to Finely Crafted and check out the vintage and modern inspired goods curated by Jeanée.

Jeanée will be traveling to Los Angeles in February for a vintage shopping tour (lucky lady) and is looking for some vintage shop recommendations.  Of course, I’m sharing my secret and not-so secret spots with her, but I’d love to know your favorite spots.  Share them in the comments below!

Thanks so much for covering my shop, Annette! I couldn’t agree more that meeting like-minded people far and wide is a huge bonus of blogging and social media-fying! I can’t wait to get my hands on your LA vintage shopping recommendations. I’ll have midcentury hunting — in addition to mild weather and succulents galore — to look forward to in Feb.!
