As you know, I made the clean beauty switch a while back and I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner. The one beauty product I wasn’t sure I’d find in the non-toxic category was lipstick. As you know I love a good bright lipstick and I wasn’t ready to give it up. BUT, it is the first beauty item that you should switch since you ingest lipstick. Think about – we ingest lipstick when we eat, kiss and drink water and all this time I was ingesting toxic chemicals through my lipstick. When I discovered this, I threw away all of my dirty lipstick and started fresh with clean lipstick. I was so glad to find natural, non toxic lipsticks that come in a variety of bright hues and last all day.
These are my favorites brands and shades:
Kosas Weightless Lipcolor: This was the first clean lipstick I discovered and I loved it at first try. Violet Fury and Thrillest are my go-to shades from this brand. Violet Fury is a perfect berry color for year round wear while Thrillest is a poppy red with a hint of orange which I love.
BeautyCounter Color Intense Lipstick: Garden Party is a bright pink that I love to wear to garden parties (obvi!) and through the summer. I love that it’s packed with moisturizers, plus it’s longwear so I don’t have to keep reapplying or worrying about dry lips.
RMS Wild with Desire Lipstick: This richly pigmented lipstick is a favorite for a bold lip. I opt for RMS Red and Rebound for the perfect red pout.
BITE BEAUTY Outburst Longwear Lip Stain: I recently discovered this lip stain and oh-my-god it’s good. I wanted a clean lipstick in a pretty orange change and this delivers in Orange Fizz. I also bought Sangria Red for a classic red. This stain lasts alllll day long without drying out lips.
