One of the standouts from my trip to WWDMAGIC last year was getting to know Everly Clothing. The line was founded and is designed by two sisters who are committed to beautiful fabrics, unique prints, and clean lines all to bring amazing fashion to the modern woman.
Everly’s pieces take you from a stroll down Venice Beach to Paris’ left bank cafes and to the urban jungle of SoHo. It’s every woman’s dream to dress the part and get transported through fashion. Every woman knows that a classic shift dress can exude elegance and is a classic staple as has been taught to us by endless screenings of Breakfast at Tiffanys. But weekend strolls call for simple and breezy separates that speak to our bohemian souls. And for evenings out with friends and the BF, a two-piece outfit beats out a dress any day of the week. A crop top paired with a pencil skirt is the new staple!
I am always inspired and drawn to fashion that has good design. Not only does it have to be functional, but it has to represent some facet of design a la Yves Saint Laurent’s color block to Mondrian art. Everly successfully intertwines fashion, prints, and clean lines for a classic and modern collection. If last year’s preview of the collection was any indication, I’m certain that Everly will cease to charm with a seamlessly designed Fall/Winter 2014 collection.
