DIY Tassel Earrings

A Vintage Splendor DIY tassel earrings

Ever since I did my DIY tassel earbuds post, I’ve been itching to use my left over embroidery floss for another fun project. Well, the tassel earring is probably this summer’s most popular jewelry item, so I decided to make a pair of earrings. It took me less than 30 minutes and I was wearing them out to a lunch meeting right away!

DIY Tassel Earrings

What You’ll Need:

6 Skeins of Embroidery Floss

Gold Thread

Earring Hooks

Scissors

Steps:

First off, make the tassels (see below).

Lay out tassels in the order you’ll like them to hang/appear.

Double thread your needle.

Start with the tassel that you want to put on the bottom and open up the tassel. Pierce the needle through the center and pull the thread all the way through.

Repeat for all of the tassels.

When you get to the last tassel, tie a knot through the top loop of your top tassel.

Secure an earring hook and you’re done!

Definitely a DIY project worth the time spent! I actually just dug up some old tassel earrings I made five to six years ago. Definitely want to try to make this tiered style.
