I’ve been lusting after a marble and brass tray for some time, but not so much the price tag. Most I’ve seen are about $200, but my simple DIY is less than $30 with items I picked up at the local hardware store.
What you need: Marble Breadboard or Slab | 2 Brass Pulls | E-6000 Glue | Ruler | Sharpie
Step 1: Line up the ruler against the edge of the marble board and measure out where you want the pull placed.
Step 2: Using the sharpie, mark the two places where the pull will be glued. Repeat on the other side.
Step 3: Put a little glue on the pull and press down on the two marks. Allow to dry for 1 hour before use.
Use as an accent tray to hold flowers and trinkets on your credenza or coffee table.
