When I shop, the reasonable side of my brain reminds me to pick up the pieces that’s most versatile and that I’ll wear over and over again.  It keeps me focused and ensures I only get the pieces I really love.  I picked up these booties at DSW recently and have been wearing them pretty much non-stop.  They work for evening bike rides around the neighborhood, to shopping for pumpkins, as well as dressing down a chic dress for girls’ night out.  Did you know that tomorrow is National Shoe Lover Day? It’s the perfect excuse to stop by DSW and do a little sole searching (get it) and indulge in a new pair of shoes.

Alan and I love going for bike rides in our neighborhood especially in the fall. Evening rides at sunset with the brisk wind is sheer perfection, but it does get a bit chilly so I layer up in chunky sweater, skinny jeans & booties.

When strolling through the pumpkin patch, comfort is key.  I paired my booties with leather shorts, gingham button down and a flowy trench that’s comfortable yet put together.

A night out with my girlfriends, I opted for a LBD with ruching details paired with a leather jacket.  The all black look is sleek, yet casual and perfect from day to night.
