The Best Spas in the US

The luxurious life.

While summer is best known for beach trips and parties by the pool, I can’t help but lust after leisurely spa escapes. Whether it is for a romantic weekend, friend bonding trip, or a solitary escape to find your center, a spa getaway is an essential part of life.  As I flip through Conde Nast’s top spas in the world, my mind drifts to far off destinations: Abu Dhabi, Maldives, and Playa del Carmen from beachside cabanas to luxurious mountain views.  This inspired me to put together a list of the top spas in the US which are accessible for a weekend retreat. I can personally attest to the wonderful ambience and treatment at Spa Montage Kapalua Bay, while the other destinations come highly recommended after doing some research.

My list takes into consideration space services and treatments, overall hotel and spa ambience, and accessibility for a quick getaway.  My recommendations include:

1. The Sanctuary: Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa, Arizona

2. St. Regis Aspen Resort Spa, Colorado

3. The Inn at Palmetto Bluff Spa, South Carolina

4. Cavallo Point Spa, California

5. Spa Montage Kapalua Bay, Hawaii

I definitely have some traveling do as these spas are now at the top of my bucket list.  Do you enjoy the fine art of spa-ing?

My favorite SoCal spa is at La Costa Resort in Carlsbad. It’s heaven.
Also very high on my list … Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale and The Montelucia resort in Scottsdale.

I’m going to have to check out La Costa Resort. Thank you for the tip. I’ve heard great things about the Scottsdale Princess as well. This is one type of research project I am excited to take on!
